Hi, I’m Ian

I’m an OCD psychotherapist—and someone who’s lived with OCD myself.

I know what it’s like to get stuck in loops of doubt, fear, and “what if” thoughts.
I also know that change is possible. I’ve experienced it. And now I help others find their way through too.

You don’t need to feel ready or fearless to start therapy. You just need to be willing to take a step—and I’ll meet you there.

My Approach

I specialise in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the most effective treatment for OCD. But therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. I bring an integrative lens—combining structure with flexibility, and science with compassion.

ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention)

Face fears in safe, manageable steps—without giving in to compulsions. The gold-standard for OCD.

ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy)

Learn to unhook from thoughts and take values-based action—even when discomfort is present.

Humanistic & Relational

Therapy is a relationship. Together, we build trust, curiosity, and the courage to try new patterns.

My Background

I’m a qualified psychotherapist with an MSc in Psychotherapy from Dublin City University. My training is integrative, combining humanistic, cognitive-behavioural (CBT), psychodynamic, and systemic approaches.

I specialise in treating Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder using ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention), and have completed additional training and supervision specifically focused on OCD and anxiety-related conditions.

I'm also a director of OCD Ireland, a national not-for-profit supporting individuals affected by OCD and related conditions. I stay actively engaged in research, advocacy, and peer collaboration to ensure my practice remains grounded and current.
